Steven Smith Popped Out in a New Lace-Up Crocs Sneaker

Steven Smith takes his role at Crocs seriously. The legendary shoe designer, with an archive full of work with Nike, adidas, Reebok, New Balance, Yeezy, and more, has been helping the Crocs squad expand past licensed pop culture clogs since he joined the brand as Head of Creative Innovation in late 2024.

Steven Smith Flexes a New Sample

With Crocs dropping yet another colorway of the Smith-designed Ripple, Steven was in Chicago for a stop on his former business partner Ye’s tour, posing in front of Ye’s childhood home with a brand new Crocs silhouette on his feet. The still-unnamed Crocs shoe brings a lace-up look to the typically slip-on brand for a completely fresh vibe.

Seen only in a couple of on-foot images posted to Smith’s Instagram story and in the background of photos from Crocs’ Paris Fashion Week showroom, the new Crocs shoe debuts in grey and black. We can’t see much, but it looks to have a breathable mesh base with thick rubber bumpers on either side of the toe and heel.

New Crocs Silhouette Details

The new lace-up Crocs sneaker doesn’t have a release date, retail price, or even a name quite yet, but with Smith pulling the pair out of the sample pile to flex at the Ye show, we’re expecting more details soon.
