Signature models for J-Dub and Cade, New Balance PEs for Cooper, endless exclusive Book 2 and Ja 3 colorways, there have been plenty of sneaker headlines this NBA season, but without a doubt, Steph Curry’s sneaker free agency has been the biggest NBA shoe story of the year. After pulling out team-specific heat from across decades and brands to shout out every city the Warriors visited this year, Curry’s final act is all about Oakland.

With a newly healthy Curry and the Warriors getting ready for the Play-In push, Steph is teaming up with Sotheby’s to auction off his Sneaker Free Agent Collection, putting up rare colorways, exclusive PEs, and game-worn pairs for the highest bidders. The money won’t stay in Steph’s already deep pockets, though, with all of the proceeds going to Curry’s Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation to provide resources for kids in Oakland, California.

Featuring 70 shoes from Curry’s first season free from Under Armour in over a decade, the collection features pairs like the Nike Kobe 6 Protro Mambacita that Steph wore to warm up in his first post-UA game. In a photo of Steph with the collection, you can see him posing with the Flu Game 12s, Oregon 3s, the debut ANTA Kai 3, a CLOT x adidas AE 1, and dozens of others.

“From the legendary NBA stars that I grew up admiring, to the current players that I’ve enjoyed competing against, along with some of the biggest names in the WNBA that are helping to drive the momentum across the women’s game, I had so much fun breaking out pairs all season long that each meant so much to me,” Curry said. “When you look back at both sneaker culture and basketball history, each pair represents an iconic moment, groundbreaking athlete or key chapter over the years in the NBA and WNBA.”

We’re still not counting Curry out to go on a run and carry the Warriors deep into the playoffs - okay, maybe that’s wishful thinking - but at the very least, we’ll get a handful more Curry Watch pairs before the season is up. As for Curry’s sneaker future? Yeah, we’re still waiting, too. Bidding for the Steph Curry Sneaker Free Agency Collection will take place from April 13-18 via Sotheby’s site, with some pairs valued as high as $50,000.
