If you’ve been on Curry Watch since the greatest shooter on earth became a sneaker free agent, like we have, you were treated to a few bonus holiday gifts yesterday. Chef Curry cooked up a three-course Christmas feast for sneakerheads in the middle of the NBA’s Christmas Day marathon, breaking out a blast from the past before the Warriors' convincing win against Cooper Flagg, Klay Thompson, and the Dallas Mavericks.

Keeping up his tunnel entrance, warm-ups, and game-time three-shoe cycle, Steph pulled up to Chase Center in a pair of white and yellow Reebok Question Mid Kobe Bryant PEs that the Black Mamba wore during his early number 8 days. Steph has never been a full-on public Kobe stan like Jayson Tatum and some other NBA players, but he’s let his Mamba love shine through his sneaker choices in the months since departing Under Armour.

For warm-ups, Steph popped out in a Christmas-colored retro from deep in his own closet, lacing up a pair of personalized red and green 2010 Nike Hyperdunk PEs with an OG “SC30” logo from his early career days as a Nike athlete before his UA deal. Luckily, the Hyperdunks still held up after 15 years.

When it came time for tip-off, Curry switched his sneakers again, this time tipping his hat to his returning Splash Brother, Klay Thompson, wearing a pair of Anta KT 11 Christmas in a white and icy blue colorway. After more than a decade of cementing themselves as the best-shooting backcourt in the history of the league, Curry got the best of Thompson this time around. It must’ve been the shoes.
