Stefon Diggs Wore Custom Nike Kobe 7 Cheetah Cleats Before the Super Bowl

Stefon Diggs had a rough Super Bowl Sunday. The Patriots' wide receiver brought in only three catches for 37 yards during the Big Game, got into a fight where he was punched in the face mid-game, and left The Bay Area without a ring. But while Diggs would have preferred a different outcome from the day, he still didn’t skimp on style, teaming up with customizer Mache for a pair of purple cheetah print Kobe 7 cleats.

Diggs broke out the Mache custom Nike Kobe 7 Cleats for Super Bowl pregame, adding a Mamba mentality to his warm-up routine. The purple and lime green custom cleats are a direct rip of the Kobe 7 Christmas colorway in the same makeup, adding tonal spots to the upper with neon green on the heel, branding, and outsole. The laces are red for a bit more color, just like Kobe’s Christmas pair.

Off the field, Diggs has teamed up with Asics for a series of lifestyle collabs, but on the field, his footwear selections are wide-ranging, including past Kobe customs. For the game itself, Diggs switched into another Mache custom cleat in a United We Rise Kobe Hyperdunk colorway from the 2008 Olympics.

The custom Diggs cleats were made exclusively for the Big Game, so don’t expect to see these pairs pop up on your local high school field. As for Diggs, well, he’s still planning to stay with the Patriots and run it back next year, but the team has an option that could dash those hopes.
