Netflix is on the verge of premiering the second season of the surprise hit show Korean Squid Game on December 26, and in honor of this, they’ve been on a marketing tear. Alongside various adverts and social media campaigns, Netflix has decided to bring Squid Game to the footwear world. While we already have previews of the upcoming Squid Game x Crocs Classic Clog, images of a Puma collaboration on the Palermo silhouette have just emerged.
A clean color palette of white hues contrasted by tan and multi-color hits takes over the Palermo silhouette, with nods to Squid Game throughout. Below the golden Puma Palermo branding, which rests on a leather tab near the top of the eyestay, sits a cartoon depiction of the contestants in the games wearing their green jumpsuits and a guard with a purple outfit. Another reference to the show on the upper is located on the tongue, featuring a co-branded Sqiud Game and Puma logo.
