At the young age of 11, Tyshawn Jones met with Jason Dill, founder of the skate brand Fucking Awesome, and laid the foundation for what would become his professional career in the skateboarding industry. After catching the eye of Supreme in 2014, adidas scooped up the young skater in the same year and released his first signature model, the adidas Tyshawn, in 2020. Now Jones is bringing another one of his sponsors, Spitfire Wheels, into the mix as the Spitfire x adidas Tyshawn has been revealed.
Black hues take over the entire silhouette, featuring a suede construction across the upper. This combo of color and material works back along the profile and gets accented by a textured leather Three Stripes logo as well as white “Tyshawn” text along the collar. Thick laces in a black shade run up the same colored tongue towards the Spitfire Wheels logo in white, the brand's only appearance on the upper. Deviating from the rest of the design, the collar portion features a two-tone mesh with a wavy pattern visible thanks to the darker grey colors woven into the material. Underfoot, a flexible midsole wrap and EVA cushioned rubber midsole get paired with a grippy and responsive black rubber outsole.
The Spitfire Wheels x adidas Tyshawn is set to drop on September 24th, 2022 through adidas.com and select adidas-partnered skate shops. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $95.
