SoleFly is closely connected to Jordan Brand, with founder Carlos Prieto related to Michael Jordan through his sister, who married the NBA legend. Having MJ as your brother-in-law definitely comes with perks, like having a guaranteed Air Jordan collab on an annual basis. Last year, the Miami-based boutique dropped a Miami Hurricanes-inspired Air Jordan 3, but this time around, they’re ditching the typical Vice City colors you associate with South Florida for a darker suede-covered AJ 5. Following looks at a sample pair of the colorway, images of the retail version of the SoleFly x Air Jordan 5 Retro Black Aurora Green have appeared.
SoleFly x Air Jordan 5 Retro Black Aurora Green
The sample version of the SoleFly AJ 5 isn’t too far off from what ended up becoming the retail pair. Both shoes feature a black suede upper accented by pops of aurora green throughout. On the sample, aurora green coated the SoleFly logo on the lateral heel, but that’s been removed for a black debossed version. Still, the shade remains on the Nike Air logo on the heel, the Jumpman on the tongue, and the lace lock.
Speaking of the tongue, SoleFly removes the traditional 3M reflective coating for an all-black suede look that blends in with the rest of the paper. Final details include the SoleFly hang tag, a black foam midsole with an exposed Air unit in the heel, and aurora green accents on the shark teeth, and a semi-translucent cream rubber outsole.

The SoleFly x Air Jordan 5 Retro Black Aurora Green will be released Holiday 2026 through SoleFly and possibly via Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $225.
