Sneaker Room and adidas Celebrate Puerto Rico with a New Adistar Control 5 Collab

Summertime on the East Coast means endless walking, outdoor drinking and dining, and of course, Puerto Rican Day Parades. While NYC's famous festival is getting set for next month, the Jersey City Puerto Rican Day Parade across the river doesn’t pop off until mid-August. To make sure your footwear game is ready for both celebrations, Jersey City boutique Sneaker Room is dropping an adidas Adistar Control 5 collab dedicated to The Island.

Debuted in an editorial campaign filmed across Puerto Rico, the Sneaker Room x adidas Adistar Control 5 is a perfect match for PR’s World Baseball Classic jersey with hits of metallic silver shining throughout. Matching the Puerto Rican flag, the red, white, and blue colorway adds PR branding on the removable velcro tongue labels.

Starting with blue mesh across the base of the upper, the toe, and the top of the lace panel jumps with hits of metallic silver. Red is added to the side panel Three Stripes, the PR tongue logo, and side panel and midsole accents on the back half of the shoe. Finally, hits of white on the stabilization panels and midsole bring it all together, and a bit of green on the outsole curls up on the runner’s toe.

The Sneaker Room x adidas Adistar Control 5 Puerto Rico will be released May 16, 2026 through a special event by Sneaker Room in Puerto Rico. You can RSVP to attend here.
