British grime icon Skepta has long been a trendsetter in music and fashion, dating back to the early days of his career. After memorable collaborations with Nike throughout the late 2010s, Skepta partnered with Puma as a global ambassador in 2022. The upcoming Skepta x Puma sneaker showcases the artist's flair for combining performance features with striking aesthetics. This low-top silhouette resembles Skepta's previous sneaker projects but introduces an innovative twist with iridescent leather overlays that shimmer under light, creating a captivating visual effect. The shoe incorporates jersey-like mesh on the toe, tongue, and collar, adorned with circular overlays that add depth and texture. Distinctive stitching on the midfoot forms Puma's iconic formstrip logo, with further branding found on the tongue in Skepta’s bespoke hawk logo. This same design is featured prominently on the insole and outsole. Everything is rounded off with a black rubber midsole that houses a metallic silver shank in the midfoot, complemented by a durable black outsole.
The Skepta x Puma signature sneaker will release in 2024 through Puma and select retailers online and in-store. As of now, the retail price has not yet been announced.
