Shin Sanbongi And Adidas Reunite For A Campus ADV Collaboration

Back in February 2020, adidas recruited Japanese street skater Shin Sanbongi into its skateboarding roster. Announced through a series of five minute-long films shot in Taiwan, Detroit, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, New York, and Paris, the clips showed Sanbongi and his new teammates shredding across these bustling locations. Over two years after this unveiling, the power duo are now ready to show off their next collaboration with the Shin Sanbongi x adidas Campus ADV.

Encapsulated within a “Core Black” leather construction, Sanbongi’s take on the Campus fuses his love of skateboarding and football. Collegiate Green accenting highlights the serrated Three Stripe branding, heel, and tongue, with a portrait of the skating icon adorning the latter. One thing that you might not know about this Campus ADV is the wearaway upper that reveals a lighter green base underneath. This means that no two pairs will be identical, as they’ll all have worn off in different ways. Sanbongi hits the medial sides in a silver hue, and to round it all off, “Have Fun” in Japanese gives off all the good vibes that you need.

The Shin Sanbongi x adidas Campus ADV Core Black is confirmed to release on August 20th, 2022 through adidas and select retailers both online and in-store. Arriving in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $90.
