There’s been a lot of bullshit swirling around the WNBA lately, especially when it comes to rejected NBA cast-offs and attention-grabbing right-wing trolling meant to disparage the league. At its heart, though, real WNBA fans know that players and teams have been standing up for equality long before this season.

Kicks for a Cause

In Washington, the Seattle Storm have been holding an annual Kicks for Equality Auction for the past seven years, putting up memorabilia and experiences in an online auction, with proceeds going to each player’s selected charity.
