Salehe Bembury Concludes His New Balance 574 Yurt Universal Communication

Working his way up to the top of the fashion world, Salehe Bembury has had the opportunity to work with the likes of Versace, Yeezy, and plenty more. As of the last year or so, New Balance has tapped Bembury for some of their most coveted collabs. Now the duo are back for more on the New Balance 574 Yurt, introducing three new colorways in the collection titled “Universal Communication.”

Salehe reinvents the classic New Balance 574 with his Yurt rendition, receiving updated paneling, tooling, and adding a fully-functioning whistle on the heel, driving home the hiking aesthetic the collection is trying to convey. Coming to us in three new color combos, green/yellow, black/purple, and cream/red, construction remains the same as previous releases, with the upper dressed in a sandwich mesh underlay accented by nappy suede and smooth leather overlays. Bembury adds his personal touch with the tongue tags 574 Yurt branding and a tag bearing his name on the profile near the collar. As mentioned previously, the heel houses a whistle protruding out, dressed in the same shade as the main color on each pair. Rounding out the look is the redesigned Abzorb cushioned midsole set to a rubber outsole.

All three colorways of the Salehe Bembury x New Balance 574 Yurt are set to release on April 22nd, 2022 exclusively through beaspunge.com. A wider release at select retailers is to follow later in the year. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
