Salehe Bembury has got to be one of the busiest people in the footwear industry right now. With an ever-growing list of collaborations that includes Anta, Crocs, New Balance, and Vans, the ex-VP of Sneakers at Versace is adding another big name to the list. Taking to social media to make the announcement, we're now taking our very first look at the Salehe Bembury x Clarks shoe in "Orange." Taking two of the British brand's most iconic silhouettes, the Lugger and Wallabee, and fusing them into one, these are made to turn heads wherever you go.
Seemingly inspired by the Lugger from the '80s and the Wallabee from the '60s, Bembury's version is outfitted in a burnt orange suede construction. While the side panels boast a smooth finish, the vamp and tongue opt for a hairy texture instead. This is then contrasted by splashes of grey along the toe area for an even more unique look. Rounding it all off is a beige crepe midsole down below that Clarkes have been using for decades.
