There are no more boxes for Salehe Bembury to check as a collaborator. From an in-house designer to building his own silhouettes for massive brands and star hoopers, Bembury brought the molded clog to the masses and became synonymous with the cool side of Crocs. Now, Bembury has graduated from collaborator to sneaker maker, debuting an independent footwear line under his Spunge brand.

We first saw hints of the Spunge sneakers at the beginning of the summer when Bembury posted a photo of an outsole to Instagram and confirmed that he was launching a footwear brand. Now, Bembury is back with a more thorough preview of the shoe, posting photos of four debut colorways, plus a couple extra pairs.

The Spunge reminds us a bit of Bembury’s Crocs Pollex Juniper thanks to its running shoe shape and extra bulbous sole. On this shoe, though, the sole gets a custom dot pattern in the forefoot and hole pattern in the midfoot and heel, and an exaggerated running toe up front. The circle motif continues to the upper, with mesh circles poking through the toebox panel, and Bembury’s splat asterisk-like logo on side panels.

When asked how many colors he was launching the shoe with, Bembury posted photos of four debut pairs, blue and teal, mauve and green, tan and yellow, and mint green and yellow, but didn’t provide any further release details. In another post asking about the pricing, Bembury noted that the shoe would cost $150, and previewed two more colorways, a two-tone blue and a blue and yellow pair.
