Even with a solid performance from Sabrina Ionescu, which included 22 points, six rebounds, and four assists, the New York Liberty were eliminated from the 2025 WNBA playoffs. They fell to the Phoenix Mercury in a decisive Game 3 in the first round, putting their back-to-back championship aspirations to rest. Well, maybe Sabrina is just like us, and she’ll load up NBA 2K to replay the match (with sliders turned to the max) and lead her team to a virtual victory. That’s a real possibility considering the latest colorway of her signature sneaker, the Nike Sabrina 3, is getting a gaming-inspired makeup.
While there’s no information online documenting Sabrina’s thoughts on video games as a whole, she did grace the cover of the WNBA edition of NBA 2K24. That cover may be the inspiration for the colorway, as the pleated engineered mesh upper is coated in a light green hue with multi-color accents. The 2K cover art featured Sab in front of a multi-color gradient that transitioned between green, purple, and blue hues, all of which are present on parts of the sneaker.
The Swoosh on the lateral and medial sides of the upper is doused in a marbled multi-color print, while the sockliner and heel tab opt for solid purple. Sabrina’s S logo atop the tongue is in a tonal green that contrasts the lighter green shades of the midfoot and laces. Down below sits a black Zoom Air-cushioned midsole and a black outsole.
The Nike Sabrina 3 Gamer will release Holiday 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in extended unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $145.
