The combination of high fashion and major footwear brands has hit every corner of the designer industry, from Gucci and adidas to Louis Vuitton and Nike. For a certain segment of fashion fans, though, there is no brand more important than Rick Owens, and no collabs more important than the Rick Owens x Dr. Martens partnership. In a follow-up to last year’s DMXL Pack, Rick and the Doc are back with three silhouettes draped in Rick’s classic oversized dark mystery.

The Rick Owens x Dr. Martens Collection features a 1B60 Pentalace, 1460 Megalace, and a Steel Toe Boot, all clad in black leather with platform heels, and a massive mess of tan laces. The knee-high Pentalace brings the most Rick energy with its huge ankle cover that laces all the way to the top. The 1460 Megalace picks up where the last collab left off, returning with a new lacing system and a different texture of black leather. The Steel Toe is slightly higher and a little slimmer than the Megalace, but keeps the same general vibe and vampire-ready Rick energy.

Outside of Dr. Martens, Rick has partnered with Converse on a long-running series of sneaker collabs that keep the oversized, giant tongue, platform sole look that has made the label famous. Instead of the black on black colorways that carry the Doc collab and most of the clothing line, though, the Converse partnership has featured a number of lighter colors, including a pink pair from a few years back.

The Rick Owens x Dr. Martens Collection will be released October 16, 2025 through Rick Owens, Dr. Martens, and select retailers online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is $420 for the Megalace and the Steel Toe, and $480 for the Pentalace.
