The Duchess of DIY, Nicole McLaughlin, took to Instagram to tease her upcoming collaboration with Reebok. This would mark McLaughlin's first sneaker collaboration with Reebok, where she started her career as a graphic designer so you could call this a homecoming of sorts.
Like all of McLaughlin's designs, the teaser reveals a sneaker all about functionality. A nylon grid-like upper with a mesh pouch tucked into the side panel holds what looks to be a climbing carabiner. The flash of the camera reveals a 3M binding that delineates the upper from the sneaker's blacked out rubber bottom. Reebok branding is tucked beneath a grey mesh tongue and stitched onto the shoe's side panel. Nicole leaves her mark with her full name adorning the shoelaces and the elastic strap that secures the carabiner in the mesh pocket.
