As the world awaits for brackets to be busted and cinderella stories to make headlines during this year's March Madness, Reebok is cooking up a pair of sneakers that will be fitting for the tournament. More specifically, however, if you’re a fan of the Georgetown Hoyas as Allen Iverson’s (an alum of Georgetown) Reebok Answer DMX is getting dressed in a color scheme that matches the Hoyas uniform.
Keeping the classic construction of the Reebok Answer DMX, this “Georgetown” colorway brings the school's navy shades to the patent leather overlays on the mudguard and midfoot while we see grey, white, and gold accents throughout. Working along the tongue we see a set of white laces contrast the navy shades that surround it while Reebok branding in the form of a vector logo, “Reebok” text, and text along the spine of the tongue. Further accenting hits of white can be found on the top of the tongue, the sockliner, and near the golden “I3” branding near the lateral heel while grey shades of leather are found on the heel overlay. Rounding out the design is the white DMX-cushioned midsole with golden pods near the heel and toe paired with a semi-translucent grey and gold rubber outsole.
The Reebok Answer DMX Georgetown is set to release on March 25th, 2023 through Reebok and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
