LaMelo Ball made a solid choice when choosing to sign with Puma as the brand has given the Hornets star player an eclectic set of colorways on his signature model, the Puma MB.01. With wild options like the Rick and Morty collaboration and multicolor "Be You" release, things are getting a more neutral, as seen on the upcoming Puma MB.01 "Iridescent Dreams."
Landing in a stealthy all-black, the typical basketball-ready construction is still present as the upper gets covered in monomesh with fused overlays adding support. Branding details on the tongue, vamp, heel, and forefoot come in a shiny iridescent finish, taking over the “Not From Here” text, Puma and Melo logos, and the “1 of 1” text. Along the collar, the embroidered wings keep the monochromatic look alive, as does the sockliner peeking over. Providing a burst of vibrant colors is the multicolor galaxy graphic printed atop the insole, a signature design detail on all MB.01 colorways. Underfoot, the blacked-out midsole and outsole encase Nitro Foam cushioning with the latter of the two getting a grippy, responsive traction pattern.
The Puma MB.01 Iridescent Dreams is set to release on August 22nd, 2022 through Puma and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $125.
