After working on the adidas Superstar among others, the Italian-based luxury brand has put their high-end twist on the classic adidas Forum. For this collaborative effort, Prada brings along their Re-Nylon fabric. Debuting in 2019, Prada Re-Nylon is a textile created through the use of recycled plastic waste collected from oceans as well as textile fiber waste. It can be purified and recycled indefinitely, with no loss of quality.
Prada's adidas Re-Nylon Collection features the Forum Low and High in two basic colorways, all-white and all-black. Each sneaker sports premium leather Three Stripes detailing on the forefoot overlays and Re-Nylon textile on the rest of the upper. A removable Prada mini-pouch attached via a branded enameled metal triangle sits on the tongue of the Forum Low and on the heel of the Forum High. Prada branding on the pouches, tongue and insoles round things out. Each pair comes in special packaging with custom dual branded dust bags.
The Prada x adidas Re-Nylon Collection is set to be released on January 13th, 2022. It will launch at adidas as well as select Prada retailers in-store and online. They will be available in extended men’s sizes with the Forum High priced at $1120 and the Forum Low at $850.
