Gorpcore has been quite the rage in the last year or so for fashion-forward individuals, and even though the trend is somewhat slowing down it doesn’t seem like adidas is stopping anytime soon. Recently teaming up with MRBAILEY on a sealife-inspired futuristic boot, The Three Stripes is sticking to Europe for collaborative efforts in this space as Amsterdam-based POP Trading Company brings all-weather performance to the adidas Swift R2 Gore-Tex.
Coming covered in a ripstop upper, the silhouette utilizes Gore-Tex weather resistance while also including other gorpy features like the bungee lacing system and rubber guard on the toe. Most of the model takes on a shade of green dubbed “wild pine,” as seen with the suede panels near the toe and midfoot as well as the ripstop upper, while black hits take over the mudguard, Three Stripes branding, and the “POP” print throughout. A vibrant hit of semi solar yellow is spotted on the tongue while the top of this location as well as the sockliner and heel tab come in an orange finish. Underfoot sits a grey foam midsole paired with a black Continental rubber outsole.
The POP Trading Company x adidas Swift R2 Gore-Tex Wild Pine is set to release on February 17th, 2023 through select EU retailers while a worldwide release will happen on February 18th. Releasing in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
