Even with The Three Stripes losing money with its IVY PARK collaboration with Beyonce and cutting ties with Ye and his Yeezy brand, the German-based sportswear giant still has a wide variety of collaborators to tap for special projects. One of the more recent under the adidas umbrella is the Amsterdam-based label POP Trading Company which on top of their Gore-Tex-covered Swift R2 is bringing weather-resistant materials to the adidas Campus ADV.
Much like the other silhouette POP Trading Company worked on with adidas, the Campus ADV receives a ripstop upper mixed with fused plastic overlays and an added rubber guard around the toe and sidewalls to give it a weather-resistant build. Tonal shades of tan cover the majority of the upper with the eyestays receiving a suede finish in a similar shade. Along the midfoot and back on the heel sits a yellow Three Stripes logo and leather heel tab respectively. This back heel tab splits branding between POP Trading Company and adidas with POP’s logo featured on the right pair while the left contains a standard Trefoil logo. Rounding out the design is the black rubber midsole and outsole.
The POP Trading Company x adidas Campus ADV is set to release on February 17th, 2023 through select EU retailers while a worldwide release will happen on February 18th. Releasing in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $85.
