Los Angeles-based streetwear label PLEASURES has carved a niche in the fashion industry, known for its bold and edgy designs. The brand has previously collaborated with various footwear giants, including Asics, Crocs, Reebok, and Puma. After their successful partnerships, PLEASURES is now set to team up with Asics once again to revamp the popular Gel-NYC model. This time, the collaboration brings a Neapolitan-inspired colorway to the table.
PLEASURES’ first rendition of the Asics Gel-NYC showcases premium materials such as netted mesh, suede, and leather. The upper features an array of pink and brown shades accented by vibrant purples and yellows, giving it a distinct and stylish look. Brown suede covers the mudguard and overlays running along the edge of the upper and sole, while pink suede graces the toe, midfoot, and heel.
A pink netted mesh base contrasts with the brown hues on the vamp and tongue, creating a harmonious blend of colors. Branding details are meticulously placed, with PLEASURES branding on the toebox and insole. The color palette is further enhanced by pops of yellow on the patent leather Asics tiger stripes, the leather heel tab, and the GEL text embroidered on the heel. The sneaker is completed with a brown Gel-NYC midsole and a tonal outsole, ensuring comfort and style.
The PLEASURES x Asics Gel-NYC will release October 11, 2024, through PLEASURES online. A release via Asics and select retailers should take place in the coming weeks. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price has yet to be announced.
