If you haven’t heard the news yet, NBA veteran PJ Tucker has announced he’s retiring from the league. While his last few years on the court were as a backup, and he bounced around to quite a few different squads, he’ll always be remembered as the NBA sneaker king. There are too many instances to count when he would pull up to the arena with multiple pairs of shoes that had never seen the light of day, with one such incident being when Tucker busted out a pair of Carmelo Anthony Air Jordan 5 PEs that Melo was shocked to see out in the wild. But don’t worry, just because he’s not on the court doesn’t mean we’re not getting any more PJ Tucker sneaker moments, as he’s just unveiled his latest collab with Nike.
Tucker took to his Instagram story to showcase a pink gradient Nike GT Future colorway, which features his PJ17 logo, his signature, and branding for his sneaker retail shop The Better Generation. Previously, we saw Tucker’s store drop an ultra-limited Air Flight 89 Low collab, with only 472 pairs of the project dropping in 2024, and once again, this pair is set to be numbered. In the video, Tucker shows the inside of the GT Future, with the tongue numbered 0001/2000.
Akin to the Swooshman GT Future, this pair features a gradient design, with the sole unit and bottom of the molded synthetic upper done in a silvery-blue and pink hues coming through as you work up to the top. PJ’s number 17 is stamped atop the Swoosh in a holographic finish, and the insole of the left shoe features his logo. The Better Generation logo sits on the insole of the right shoe, with his signature found on the reverse of the tongue.
PJ Tucker’s The Better Generation x Nike GT Future is slated for a Summer 2026 release through The Better Generation, Nike SNKRS, and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $210.
