Pharrell always swims against the current. While the art and fashion worlds descend upon Miami for Art Basel, Skateboard P is going north on I-95 instead. Continuing his run of aquatic-themed pop-ups, Pharrell is bringing his adidas Jellyfish retail experience to the Big Apple for a two-day limited release of the triple-black adidas Adistar Jellyfish.

A partnership with Pharrell’s VIRGINIA brand and its Virginia Beach summer vacation ethos, the Jellyfish has been the surprise hit of the year, quickly finding its way into the sneaker of the year discussion despite its $300 retail price tag. The triple-black colorway of the Jellyfish made its global debut at a beach boardwalk-themed arcade pop-up in Seoul, South Korea, last month, but the NYC release is the first time it will drop stateside.

In anticipation of the pop-ups, Pharrell and adidas rolled a custom-branded box truck into town, driving the mobile advertisement across Wall Street, Chinatown, and much of Lower Manhattan to drum up attention. Playing into the unstoppable hype surrounding the shoe, the truck was equipped with a custom “SOTY 2025” front license plate to stir up even more conversation.

The Pharrell x adidas Adistar Jellyfish Triple Black will be released December 4, 2025 at a pop-up inside the Billionaire Boys Club store in Manhattan, with a second release at a pop-up inside the adidas Manhattan flagship store on Fifth Avenue December 5, 2025. New York City always shows up for exclusive releases, so if you’re looking to secure a pair, make sure you arrive early.
