Nike and Patta are again converging on an Air Max silhouette, though this time on the European favorite Air Max Plus. However, the two are not alone, joining forces with another titan – F.C. Barcelona.
This collaboration sees the Sean McDowell-designed Air Max Plus retaining its iconic mesh and TPU build. Glossy TPU on the forefront ensures enhanced durability, complemented by overlays across the shoe. A luxurious black suede panel runs seamlessly along the shoe's edge, sitting between the upper and sole. The mesh gradient showcases a sublime mix of purple and blue, paying homage to F.C. Barcelona's vibrant kit. Double Swooshes on the midfoot encompass both shades. Adding to the mix are the lace dubraes sporting F.C. Barcelona's emblematic crest, while the tongue tag proudly displays Patta's signature. Classic "Tuned Air" branding stands out in yellow and white on the suede heel tab. Inside, one finds the phrase "Culers del món," a salute to Barcelona's adoring fans. The shoe sits atop a dual-tone Air Max Plus midsole, featuring an artistic gradient on the shank and fiery orange bursts within the visible Air units. The vibrant multi-color outsole caps off the design, all nestled within a specially crafted co-branded box.
The Patta x Nike Air Max Plus F.C. Barcelona will release October 13, 2023 through Patta online and in-store while a release through Nike and possibly select retailers online and in-store will go down at a different date. Available in men’s sizing, the pair will retail for $210.
