2021 has been a very big year for The Netherlands-based retailer. They have been riding the waves (pun intended) of their Nike Air Max 1 collabs over the past few months and are gearing up to release their final pair in the collection. It all started with the “Monarch” edition, followed up by the “Noise Aqua” pair and “Rush Maroon.” Now, a fourth and final colorway has been confirmed, known as the “Black” edition.
The Patta x Nike Air Max 1 Waves “Black” pair comes in a metallic silver, black and pure platinum colorway. Mirroring both the “Monarch” and “Noise Aqua” pairs, they feature a silver and platinum upper with black accenting the “wave” pattern on the mudguard as well as the “Swoosh” on the sides and branding throughout. A sail-colored midsole and mini Swoosh on the lateral toe of the mudguard round things out.
The collector's box release of the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 Waves "Black" will drop exclusively at Patta in late 2021. It will be followed by the general global release shortly thereafter. Update 11/19: At Patta's in-store release for the Nike Air Max 1 Maroon Rush there was a display with all three previous AM1's that were part of "The Wave" pack. The last empty display case points to the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 Waves "Black" being the last sneaker to release as part of "The Wave" pack.
Update 11/19: Patta x Nike Air Max 1 Waves "Black" was confirmed by Union LA founder, Freddie Gibbs. In a post earlier today, Union LA posted a photo of Freddie wearing the upcoming Nike Air Max 1 Waves "Black" accompanied by a close up of the shoe.
Update 12/7: Official images of the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 Black have released. The sneaker is scheduled to drop December 10th, 2021 via Patta.
