Footwear labels across the industry have made an effort in recent memory to reduce their carbon footprint and produce environmentally friendly products. New Balance, the Boston-based brand, has created many products that incorporate recycled materials, and its latest collab is a prime example of sustainability. Teaming up with the outdoor advocacy group Parks Project, New Balance brings urban green spaces to life on the off-road running-ready Fresh Foam X Hierro v7.
Taking on grassy green shades throughout its design, the silhouette incorporates custom graphics and co-branded details, making this Park Project collab stand out. Grass-like suede around the mudguard and heel comes in a tonal green that differs slightly from the knit across the upper. For its “N” logo, we see an aerial city grid layout that combines cream and green. Co-branded details between Park Project and New Balance land on the tongue tag and the custom graphic-laden insole. Underfoot sits a creamy foam midsole with green paint details near the heel and a partially recycled gum Vibram rubber outsole.
The Parks Project x New Balance Fresh Foam X Hierro v7 Nightwatch Green is set to release on March 30th, 2023, through New Balance online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $155.
