South Park is Back: Here are Our Favorite Collabs from Cartman and Crew
Published
Season 27 of South Park is finally airing on Comedy Central, and it appears Matt Stone and Trey Parker’s iconic series is returning to form. There are definitely some things fans have to get adjusted to: the new bi-weekly release schedule, a pivot away from [spoiler alert] the Tegridy Farms plot point, and a new streaming home for the series. But one thing that hasn’t changed is South Park putting out some of the best collab footwear on the market. Earlier this week, news of a Crocs Classic Clog collection hit the net and we’re all obsessed. Both South Park Studios and Crocs call the state of Colorado home, so these two go together like Terrance and Phillip. While we’re excited to get our hands on the five pairs from the collection, we thought we could look back at all the times South Park has made its way into the footwear world while we wait.
South Park x adidas Campus 80s Towelie - April 2021

The one that started it all. Even though South Park has been around since 1997 and delved into the merch game early and often, Matt and Trey didn’t officially license any footwear projects until 2021 when they teamed up with adidas on a special 4/20 sneaker inspired by Towelie.
The stoner towel was introduced to the series in the eponymous episode “Towelie” in 2001 as a joke, intentionally made to be a horrible character as satire on how TV shows and movies would introduce merchandiseable characters. Think Snarf from Thundercats or Jar Jar Binks from Star Wars. You can see the satire in plain sight with the fake advertisement for a Towelie towel in the episode.
Towelie actually became a fan favorite, and later would have his story and troubles with addiction explored in multiple episodes. As for his adidas Campus 80s, his light blue terrycloth appearance is directly translated onto the sneaker, as are his eyeballs. Outside of the hidden stash pocket, the most overt nod to the towel’s tendency to get high is the UV-reactive effect on his eyes. Once hit with light, his white eyeballs would droop and get bloodshot red. The pair sold out instantly after its first release in 2021, and later in October 2022 adidas would restock the sneaker.
South Park x adidas Collection - March 2022

Around a year removed from South Park’s first adidas project, the show returned to work with The Three Stripes on a wider capsule featuring Cartman, Kenny, Kyle, and Stan, plus Cartman’s AWESOME-O and Butters’ Professor Chaos alter egos. Each features a color palette reminiscent of the character’s design and a litter of references to the show. Kenny’s NMD comes in an orange finish akin to his parka, while we can see the acronym “OMGTKK” to reference the classic line when he would die in early seasons: “Oh my god, they killed Kenny!”
The other boys have their outfits displayed on the Stan Smith (Stan), Superstar (Kyle), Forum Low (Cartman), while AWESOM-O and Professor Chaos get their own Forum Low and NMD R1, respectively. On top of the sneakers, the collection featured a clothing capsule featuring a hoodie, T-shirt, socks, and a beanie.
South Park x Crocs Classic Clog Collection - September 2025

After the adidas project in March 2022, South Park’s endeavors in the footwear industry took a pause. That was until five South Park x Crocs Classic Clogs appeared on Champs Sports’ release calendar at the end of August 2025. The four main boys are honored on a pair of Classic Clogs depicting them at the bus stop, though Cartman, Kenny, Towelie, and Stan’s dad Randy each get their own colorways.
Outside of the added details to the sports mode strap and lining that nod to each character's appearance, Jibbitz charms tell deeper stories that connect across the 27 seasons of the show. Kenny’s pair even comes with a reference to the season one episode “Pink Eye” when he becomes zombified. Other classic South Park episodes referenced on the clogs include Major Boobage, Good Times with Weapons, Awesom-O, Cartman Find Love, Fat Butt and Pancake Head, The Losing Edge, Crème Fraiche, Fantastic Easter Special, and Insheeption.
South Park’s latest footwear collection is expected to hit shelves on September 12, 2025, through Crocs and select retailers. With how well-received this first project between Crocs and South Park Studios has been online, we wouldn’t be surprised to see a follow-up in the near future.
