On Embraces the Growing Running Subculture with LN1 Sub-Label

In case you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably seen the explosion of running culture across streetwear and fashion. From run clubs and marathon training to endless collabs and shorts logos that signify status, the footwear industry has fully merged performance and fashion for an obsessive approach to the idea that looking good makes you move faster.

The latest brand to dive deeper into the hype running brand subculture is On, which is set to launch its new LN1 (Lane One) collaboration program this week. Each year, the LN1 sub-label will tap a different creative director from the running scene to put their spin on On’s performance running line. To kick the initiative off, On is partnering with Mental Athletic for some instant credibility.

Organized with the help of 12 independent partners from across the running industry, the idea is to bring local hype to a global level, all while pushing the limits of performance tech and speed. To kick off the LN1 program, the brand will start with a Mental Athletics collab on the Cloudmonster 3 LN1 with LN1 branding throughout.
