Oklahoma Sooners Football Get Their Jordan 1 and Jordan 4 PEs
North Carolina and Florida aren’t the only teams hitting the turf in new heat. The college football season is officially here, and that means new cleats for schools with premium sneaker deals. The Oklahoma Sooners are one of Jordan’s biggest campus contracts, and that means exclusive retros for everyone on the squad.
The SEC powerhouse starts the season ranked number 18 in the nation, kicking off the year against Illinois State this weekend in front of a prime-time College Gameday crowd, so you already know they have to look good for the occasion. Jordan hooked up Sooners players with a Nike Vapor Edge cleat with a Jordan 1 upper, and a Nike Alpha Menace cleat with a Jordan 4 upper, both in Oklahoma red.
Following a similar design to the ones for Jordan’s alma mater in North Carolina, the Oklahoma Jordan 1 cleats have white leather on the toebox and side panels, a black Swoosh, and a red camo print on the toe, heel, and lace protection panels. The tongue tags have OU logos on one and Jordan branding on the other, with the Jordan wings logo flying proudly on the back.
The Jordan 4 cleat is all red, with white netting on the side panels and toe, and black lace wings. The tongue tags have OU on one and a Jumpman on the other, with classic Nike Air logos on the back.
