The adidas Samba is witnessing a significant revival. As a testament to its enduring appeal, adidas has been collaborating with various partners to reimagine this iconic silhouette, and the latest to join this creative endeavor is UK-based retailer Offspring. Their design, which emerged as a winner during the Consortium Cup held early last year, already saw a release through the retailer at the end of last year. Now that adidas images have emerged, a broader drop seems imminent.
The Offspring x adidas Samba OG Consortium Cup features a unique design that beautifully marries classic aesthetics with contemporary flair. The sneaker boasts select portions of rub-off leather on the upper, which gradually wears away to reveal an intricate Offspring paisley pattern. This innovative detail adds a sense of discovery and evolution to the shoe. This distinctive pattern adorns the Three Stripes, tongue, and heel tab.
Complementing this, the rest of the sneaker is adorned with worn-in grey leather, offering a vintage look, and is accented with brownish-grey suede on the toe for added texture and depth. The lateral side proudly displays the Samba branding, while the tongue tag features a split branding of adidas and Offspring between the left and right sneakers. The design is completed with a classic gum sole unit, staying true to the Samba's roots while offering durability and traction.
