Still very fresh into 2022, we’ve already seen multiple sneaker of the year candidates. Most are set to drop later in the year; however, a few are releasing now. One of those pairs is the highly anticipated Air Jordan 12 Retro “Playoff,” back after a ten year absence.
Made famous on the feet of Michael Jordan en route to his fifth NBA Championship and second back-to-back titles, the AJ 12 “Playoff” dropped in 1997. It was retroed for the first time in 2004 and then again in 2012. In celebration of its 25th Anniversary, the Air Jordan 12 Retro Playoff is back in its truest form yet. Coming in the classic black, varsity red, white and metallic silver color scheme, this AJ 12 sports a full leather upper in black, with a white mudguard, midsole and outsole. Metallic Silver hits and red branding throughout complete the look.
The Air Jordan 12 Retro Playoff is set to release on February 19th, 2022. It will drop at Nike as well as select Jordan Brand retailers in-store and online. They will be available in full-family sizing from men down to toddler. Men’s pairs will retail for $200.
