One of the most legendary franchises in the NBA, the Chicago Bulls will forever hold a place in the hearts of millions even if their fans of rival teams as the franchise is partially responsible for the ascension of Michael Jordan and the sport of basketball as a whole. For a young Virgil Abloh, his hometown team hosting (arguably) the greatest basketball player of all time was a major inspiration for the late-great multi-faceted designer and his Off-White label is finally teaming up with the Bulls for a clothing capsule.
Comprising a variety of clothing pieces including varsity jackets, hoodies, tees, and more, Off-White’s unique design language reimagines staple basketball merchandise and even remixes Benny The Bull to feature him soaring down seemingly going for a dunk. In an official post from Off-White, a collage of photos featuring current Bulls players has the crew rocking different iterations and colorways of a varsity jacket that hosts co-branded details like the famous Off-White black stripe design and the labels name sprawled across the chest. On the back of this piece, you’ll find the aforementioned remixed Benny The Bull logo with “Bulls” and Abloh branding placed on top and below the logo respectively. The rest of the collection has yet to be showcased, though expect similar details to take over the other silhouettes in the capsule.
The Off-White x Chicago Bulls Capsule is set to release on February 2nd, 2023 through Off-White online, in-store, and via the Farfetch Beat program. As of now, sizing and pricing information is TBA.
