Early images of various Nike Dunk Low colorways paying homage to some of the nation’s HBCUs have been floating around the internet for the last few months, ranging from North Carolina A&T to FAMU and plenty more. It looks like we have even more of these themed Dunk releases heading our way with first looks at the upcoming Nike Dunk Low “TSU Tigers.”
The team colors of the TSU Tigers get splashed across this all-leather Dunk Low, featuring hits of red, white, blue, black, and yellow. Along the underlay sits a deep black hue that allows the red and blue hits present on the mudguard, eyestays, and split-color heel overlay to shine through. While the sneaker comes laced up in white flat laces, an additional set of tiger-striped laces stay in theme with the school's mascot who is present on the yellow tongue tag. Further tiger stripes can be found on the insole alongside the phrase “Tiger Pride.” Running along the midfoot, the white Nike Swoosh reaches back toward the yellow heel tab and its “1912” embroidery in red, the year in which TSU was founded. Rounding out the look is the white midsole paired with a blue rubber outsole.
The Nike Dunk Low TSU Tigers is slated to release on October 7th, 2022 through the retailer Rooted with a wider release on October 8th through Nike, the SNKRS app, and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is $120.
