Nike’s Air More Uptempo Comes Dressed In Accenting Metallic Teal

Looking back on 90’s basketball, one thinks of the domination by Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. Although Jordan was the star of the show both for his playstyle and sneakers, his teammate Scottie Pippen helped popularize the Nike Air More Uptempo. Now in 2022, we continue to get clean colorways of the Uptempo silhouette, as seen on the upcoming women's exclusive Nike Air More Uptempo “Metallic Teal.”
Coming dressed in shades of white and grey across the majority of its leather upper, accenting metallic teal pops off this plain base. Starting down at the white leather toebox, the embroidered Nike Swoosh in grey provides a nice pop of color below the icy white mesh tongue above. Running up the tongue is a set of white rope laces with a silver ring housing the Nike Swoosh, sandwiched between the middle of the ghillie-style lacing system. Atop the tongue we get our first hit of metallic teal, tucked underneath a lock-down strap. Working along both sides of the silhouette is the iconic AIR in a grey tumbled leather, sitting above the white perforated leather base. On the back of the heel, a jeweled Nike Swoosh comes dressed in the accenting metallic teal. Rounding out the entire look is the white Uptempo midsole with mini Nike Swoosh’s placed on the rear in metallic teal.
The Nike Air More Uptempo Metallic Teal W is set to drop in 2022 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in women's sizing, the retail price for this pair is $170.
