Trends in the footwear world shifted from retro basketball sneakers and Yeezys to mesh runners from Y2K and the early 2010s. Nike’s answer was reintroducing the Zoom Vomero 5, launched in 2010 as a performance runner. Dozens and dozens of colorways have come our way, and more are planned to be released by the end of 2024. This includes the new Pumpkin Spice rendition, which perfectly fits into the upcoming fall/winter season.
Featuring a wide-spaced mesh base in a cream hue, we see more hits of cream land along the lace set, Swoosh, and sockliner, contrasting the khaki and toasted tan shades. Khaki hits land on the mudguard, vamp, midfoot TPU panel, and lining of the Swoosh, while the toebox overlays, top eyestay, and heel counter take on a toasted tan hue. Moving up toward the tongue, we see pops of red via the nylon lace loop, and more khaki shades land on the uppermost portion. Reflective 3M hits find a home along the mudguard and heel, leaving the midfoot leather overlays to join the fall-ready toasted tan color palette. Underfoot sits a Cushlon and Zoom Air-cushioned foam midsole in red, white, and khaki, paired with a black and khaki outsole.
