While many look to Nike for their retro releases from the '80s and '90s, the Beaverton-based sportswear giant has been looking into the archives for more contemporary designs. One model that has recently seen a revival is the Nike Zoom Vomero 5, a New Balance-Esque design that has drummed up significant hype. Later this year, the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 is set to arrive in a clean Mystic Red colorway exclusively to women’s sizing.
Keeping the same construction as previous Zoom Vomero 5s, this “Mystic Red” colorway boasts a vibrant red mesh base complemented by silver leather overlays and rich burgundy suede panels on the toebox. The laces come in a two-tone red finish, adding depth to the design. A burgundy TPU overlay on the midfoot enhances stability, while the sockliner is quilted in the same hue for added comfort. Atop the tongue sits a mystic red Nike and Vomero 5 branding. The heel TPU overlay gets a sleek silver finish, and the tri-toned sole unit in red, white, and burgundy provides both style and performance. A multi-color outsole offers excellent traction on various surfaces and completes the look.
The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 Mystic Red W will release September 2, 2023 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
