The Nike Zoom LeBron 4 Black Anthracite Returns In Holiday 2023

LeBron James may be entering the tail end of his NBA career. However, his signature series of sneakers with Nike should live on well past The King’s retirement from the basketball court. Recently reaching the 20th version of the Nike LeBron, The Swoosh has been looking back in the LeBron archives and the Nike LeBron 4 seems to be the next of LeBron's signature silhouettes that will be revisited. Recently Nike retroed LeBron's first signature sneaker - the Nike Zoom Air Generation. Going forward a few years, the Nike Zoom LeBron 4 strayed from the design language of his first three silhouettes to much fanfare in 2006. Since then, we have not seen the model get a retro release. All of that will change come Holiday 2023 as alongside the iconic Graffiti colorway, the Nike Zoom LeBron 4 Black Anthracite is also making a return.

Returning in its classic all-black look, the third-ever colorway of the Nike Zoom LeBron 4 will remain unchanged, with the Foamposite upper taking on stealthy anthracite hues across the free-flowing design. Other vital details, like the lockdown strap on the collar and nubuck panels, all take on this tonal shade of anthracite. The same tech found in the 2006 release will return with a flex-grooved Zoom Air-cushioned insole, mesh sockliner, and tri-sectioned design on the sole unit.

The biggest change to the upcoming LeBron 4 Anthracite, is the inner tongue tag of the sneaker has "October 6th 2004" stitched into it. October 6th, 2004, was the date Bronny James was born and LeBron became a father. The Easter Egg is a nod to Bronny and recognition for all that the first-year USC basketball player has accomplished. Rounding everything out is a grippy black rubber outsole below.

The Nike Zoom LeBron 4 Black Anthracite is set to release December 12, 2023, through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $240.
