Nike Debuts a New Airbrush-Style Team Gear Collection

The NFL, NBA, and college sports seasons both kick off in early fall, and every year, at the end of summer, sports fans everywhere get the same back-to-school energy as kids, with high hopes for a year that will usually end in crushing disappointment. Before the seasons start, though, everyone thinks this year will be different for their team, with plenty of new merch to back up the new confidence.

NBA Fashion Hits the Boardwalk

This year, the NBA and Nike are rolling out a fresh take on classic logo gear, taking a page from the fashion industry’s recent obsession with airbrushed art. The collection adds massive boardwalk-style airbrush graphics to hoodies, pants, T-shirts, and shorts that Nike says will be worn by players during tunnel walks and warm-ups and by fans in the stands.

“Basketball is more than a game — it’s a culture and a form of self-expression,” says Ross Klein, VP/Creative Director, Nike Basketball. “This collection celebrates the attitude, creativity, and individuality of today’s hoopers, combining bold team identity and modern style so fans can show their connection to the game in their own way.”

NBA x Nike Standard Issue Collection Release Details
