Tiger Woods just pulled out of The Master's Tournament due to a nagging plantar fasciitis injury. Even though he will not be playing, Nike is still set on bringing back one of Woods' most iconic sneakers - the Nike TW ‘13. Following a 10-year gap between the original release of this model, Nike quietly retroed the OG colorway to kick off 2023. Now, the silhouette has just appeared in a “Black” colorway.
Inspired by Tiger’s love for sneakers that utilized Nike Free technology, the silhouette features the tech within its design and doesn’t necessarily scream golf shoe at first glance. Across its upper, we see black leather, with rubber portions present on the toecap, as well as along the eyestays. Black laces match the nylon eyelets that are a part of Nike’s Dynamic Fit system, helping make the sneaker a 1-to-1 fit with its Flywire-infused nylon straps. Pops of red appear nearby with Tiger Woods’ logo (also found on the heel) and the topmost nylon eyelet covered in this shade. Underfoot sits an EVA-cushioned midsole in black, with an engineered outsole that conforms to the foot's natural motion and features removable spikes.
The Nike TW ‘13 Black will be released on April 21st, 2023, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $240.
