Nike continues its revival of the Terminator High with another collegiate-inspired colorway in “University Red.”
Nike Basketball silhouettes often have connections to collegiate athletic programs and the Nike Terminator is a prime example. During the era of the Nike Dunks BTTYS program, The Swoosh created a silhouette specifically for the Georgetown basketball team, the previously mentioned Terminator, that has been a cult classic for decades. After a few years, the silhouette returned from the archive and we’ve seen a slew of colorways pop up with the latest coming in “University Red.”
Covered in a two-tone makeup of university red and white, the latter of the two shades takes over the perforated toebox, quarter panel, collar, and heel overlay while university red lands on the mudguard, eyestays, and heel tab. Stark whites continue on the lace set and tongue while the “Nike” branded tongue tag up top partakes in a university red makeover. More branding details, like the Swoosh on the midfoot and large “Nike” text on the heel, also take on a university red color scheme. Tonal stitching details matching the colors of each respective panel help complete the upper while the entire design is rounded out by a white midsole paired with a university red rubber outsole.
The Nike Terminator High University Red is set to release in 2023 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $125.
