Nike Signs 10-Year Deal with University of South Carolina Gamecocks

For nearly two decades, student-athletes at the University of South Carolina have had Under Armour emblazoned on their uniforms but that is all about to change. Nike and the Gamecocks have announced a 10-year deal that will see The Swoosh take over as the official supplier of footwear, apparel, equipment, and accessories to 21 athletics programs at the university.
“As we look ahead to this dynamic partnership, Nike is honored to join forces with the University of South Carolina—a program renowned for its passionate spirit and commitment to excellence,” said Ann Miller, Executive Vice President of Global Sports Marketing at Nike. She continued, “Together, we will empower Gamecock athletes with the latest in performance innovation and design, fueling their ambitions on the field and inspiring fans off it.”
South Carolina and Under Armour began their relationship back in 2007 when the Gamecocks football team took the gridiron in UA apparel and sneakers, but it wasn’t until 2011 that all athletic programs would rock Under Armour during competition.
USC Athletics Director Jeremiah Donati spoke on the new deal, stating, “We are excited to be joining with Nike as we look to continue to elevate our brand and compete for championships in the future. We are truly appreciative of the long partnership we have enjoyed with Under Armour since 2007.”
Nike will officially take over duties as the official supplier for the USC Gamecocks in July 2026, so fans will have to wait until next year to rock The Swoosh on their official Gamecocks gear. Expect to see the school receive a slew of player-exclusive sneakers once the contract kicks in.
