Nike is Bringing Back the Shox NZ
Fashion moves in roughly 20-year cycles. If something in your closet was cool two decades ago, chances are you can knock the dust off and rock it with pride in 2025. That explains the intense Y2K obsession across the sneaker industry, and it definitely explains the latest Nike retro, a three-pack of Shox NZ.First released in 2002, the Shox NZ Returns in triple black, black and varsity red, and white and sport red. The slim, low-profile Shox NZ features four columns of Shox springs in the heel, with a prominent toe cap over a one-piece toebox, and an overlaid side panel with digits that spread into lace loops.
The triple black colorway features leather on the toebox and suede on the side panels, while the black and red pair is constructed of leather from top to bottom with a red Swoosh and lateral heel Nike logo, and white contrast stitching on the toe. The white and red pair is a trip down memory lane for anyone who went to school in the early 2000s, with grey mesh on the toebox and heel, white leather on the toe and side panels, and bright red on the Shox columns and Swoosh outline.
