Nike SB's sneakers catalog encompasses much more than just the SB Dunk or Janoski, with the skateboarding sub-label even introducing a kids' exclusive skate shoe. Digging into the archives, Nike SB is reviving the Nike SB FC Classic, a soccer-inspired sneaker originally launched in 2003 and last seen in 2017.
The Nike SB FC Classic is distinguished by its low-top silhouette, drawing inspiration from soccer footwear with a Samba-esque appearance. The sneaker features a T-shaped suede overlay on the toe and additional suede panels across the vamp, eyestays, and heel, providing both durability and style. The sneaker's base is crafted from tumbled leather, complemented by a canvas tongue that bears the Nike SB FC Classic branding, marrying the elements of soccer heritage with skate-ready functionality. A Solarsoft cushioned rubber midsole ensures comfort during long skate sessions, while the gum outsole offers the grip and feel skaters demand. This revival sees the return of four classic colorways: Cool Grey Black, Black, Summit White, and University Red Black, each offering its simple take on the model's versatile design.
The Nike SB FC Classic will release in Fall 2024 through Nike SB-affiliated retailers and via Nike online. Available in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $70. For updates on this release and more from the world of sneakers and streetwear, keep it locked to the Sole Retriever mobile app.
