The Women's Nike Mind 002 Gets Vintage-Vibes with a Sail Colorway

When it comes to locking in, mental acuity is of utmost importance, whether ramping up or recovering. Nike’s innovative Mind line aims to enhance the mind-body connection like never before, using popular technology to bond the two with every step and refresh the wearer through the use of 22 individual nodes on the outsole.

While the slip-on Mind 001 has drawn almost all of the attention, the sneaker version, the Mind 002, is also climbing its way up the ranks for its focus on all-day wear. Not only is it built for the long haul, but the silhouette is also getting a remix from legendary designer Hiroshi Fujiwara and fragment design. Before that pair embedded with Japanese flair, Nike is releasing a sail rendition of the recovery sneaker.

That vintage shade covers the entire silhouette, including the sneaker’s breezy perforated upper. Though the shoe mostly keeps a low profile, hints of that classic Nike orange peeking through side panels add more depth to the surging silhouette. Silver Nike branding appears throughout as well, adding shine to the side Swooshes, tongue, top eyelet, and heel. The standout feature, of course, are the nodes built into the footbed meant to foster more connectivity between the brain and body. For this vintage look, it’s only right that Nike goes retro, using a familiar shade of orange on those underfoot undulators.
