2023 will see the infamous Nike Mac Attack make a comeback with its OG colorway returning for the first time.

The 1980s were a special time for Nike as the brand introduced the world to many of its most famous silhouettes from Air Jordans to Dunks and Air Max silhouettes. During this time period, tennis was a major factor for sportswear brands and Nike signed legendary tennis star John McEnroe to produce a signature silhouette for the athlete in 1984. Since the original run of the model, we have yet to see the sneaker make a return even with Nike endorsers like LeBron James and Travis Scott securing vintage pairs of the model to rock until now. Following first looks at Social Status’ take on the silhouette, the OG colorway of the Nike Mac Attack (now dubbed the Nike Attack) will return in 2023.
Keeping its cross-trainer aesthetic, the silhouette features a mixture of greys, blacks, and whites with accenting hits of red and blue throughout the mesh and leather upper. Around the toebox sits a large mudguard in grey leather that wraps up to meet the eyestays that feature the same construction. Sitting below this is a dark grey mesh visible on the toe with more mesh seen near the midfoot and collar coming in a light grey hue. Tonal grey laces work up the white tongue towards the blue and black checkerboard tongue tag with red Nike branding embroidered in its center. Helping complete the upper are the black leather overlays on the Swoosh, collar, and heel while the design is finished by a white Mac Attack midsole and a grey rubber outsole.
The Nike Attack QS SP OG is set to release in the Summer of 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120.
