The Nike LeBron line has evolved significantly since the Air Zoom Generation back in 2003, mirroring the career of its namesake. Before we can get our hands on the LeBron 21, Nike has crafted yet another LeBron NXXT Gen (a take-down version of the Nike LeBron 20) in a Lakers-themed colorway.
This Nike LeBron NXXT Gen iteration sticks to the classic build and features an engineered mesh upper mixed with suede details. Embracing a regal purple finish befitting the Lakers’ iconic palette is the engineered mesh. The purple theme gracefully flows into the laces, creating a cohesive and striking look. Contrasting this rich purple, the tongue, sockliner, and mini Swoosh on the heel are rendered in a sleek black. Gold accents, a classic hue associated with Lakers royalty, are strategically placed on the Nike LBJ branding, adding a touch of luxury and further solidifying the Lakers' connection. For an additional splash of character, the main Swoosh on the lateral side boasts an iridescent finish. On the medial side of the shoe, a large suede overlay creates a rich textural contrast and features a matching iridescent Swoosh. The design is completed with a white Air Zoom-cushioned midsole and gold rubber outsole.
The Nike LeBron NXXT Gen Lakers will release Holiday 2023 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $170.
