LeBron James' partnership with Nike has been nothing short of iconic, consistently delivering some of the most innovative and stylish sneakers in the basketball world. As anticipation builds for the releasing the 22nd signature sneaker in the Nike LeBron line, James and Nike continue to captivate fans with new iterations of his previous models. One such model is the Nike LeBron NXXT Gen Ampd, an updated version of the LeBron NXXT Gen, itself a take-down version of the LeBron 21. The upcoming Black Metallic Gold University Red colorway draws inspiration from LeBron's first signature sneaker, the Nike Air Zoom Generation, specifically recalling one of his Air Zoom Generation PEs.
The Nike LeBron NXXT Gen Ampd in Black Metallic Gold University Red features a sleek black upper constructed from engineered mesh for breathability and comfort. This base layer is complemented by patent leather overlays along the toe and collar, adding a touch of luxury and durability to the design. Gold accents are strategically placed on the Swoosh, eyestays, and branding along the tongue, providing a striking contrast against the black backdrop. The secondary embroidered Swoosh on the lateral side and the logo on the medial side feature red detailing, also seen on the heel's black patent leather overlay. The sneaker is finished with a black foam midsole and a black rubber outsole, incorporating a traction pattern inspired by the streets of Akron, Ohio, LeBron's hometown.
The Nike LeBron NXXT Gen Ampd Black Metallic Gold University Red will release on July 1, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $170. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
