LeBron Gifts Ohio State Football Custom Nike LeBron 23 PE Cleats

Columbus… this is for you! Okay, it doesn’t have quite the same ring to it as Cleveland, but LeBron shows out for every corner of his home state, and with a prime-time college football match-up on the horizon, King James is reliving the campus days he never had with a special gift for the Ohio State Buckeye football team.

Announced in a personalized Instagram video from the King himself, LeBron talks about his connection to Ohio State as a fan, his high school years splitting time between basketball and football, and his lifelong love for the sport. At the end of the video, LeBron shows off a new pair of Nike LeBron 23 Grand Opening cleats, taking the LeBron 23 colorway inspired by the shoes he wore during the first home game of his career in Cleveland, retooling it with an ankle collar and spikes at the bottom for the Buckeye players.

"Ohio State means a lot to me," LeBron tells Ohio State players in the video. "If you followed my journey, I'm a big-time football fan. I played football all the way through high school. It's always been fulfilling to me and an honor for me to give back…These make me even more wish I could suit up one last time!”

The cleats were specifically designed for the Buckeyes’ home match-up against Penn State this weekend, so expect to see the entire Ohio State team channeling LeBron on the gridiron, and with King James injured for the start of the NBA season, we wouldn’t be shocked to see him on the sideline soaking in the Columbus vibes.
